Our Land Cruiser electric conversion replaces the diesel engine in your Toyota Land Cruiser 79 Series with a 160kW electric drivetrain, using a bolt-in kit that mounts to the existing engine mounts and is designed around the vehicle for a clean, serviceable conversion.

Available for 79 Series vehicles with the 4.2L 1HZ, 4.5L 1VD V8 and 2.8L 1GD engines, with every conversion installed at our workshop in Nairobi, Kenya, by our own trained team.

How It Fits

The electric motor bolts onto the Land Cruiser's original engine mounts and drives through the factory gearbox and transfer case, so everything that makes a 79 Series capable off-road stays exactly where it is

Which Land Cruiser models can be converted?+

We convert the Toyota Land Cruiser 79 Series, including vehicles fitted with the 4.2L 1HZ, 4.5L 1VD V8 and 2.8L 1GD engines, in both pickup and game viewer bodies.

Does the conversion keep the gearbox and 4WD?+

Yes, the Land Cruiser kit retains the original gearbox and transfer case, so you keep 4WD, low range and the familiar driving feel.

How far can an electric Land Cruiser go?+

Up to 180km of real-world driving on the 62kWh battery, or up to 120km on the 40kWh battery.

How is it charged?+

The vehicle has a 6.6kW AC on-board charger, so you can plug in overnight at camp, from a solar charging station or the grid, and it is ready by morning.
